Frequently Asked Questions
Currently, I usually work from Jabbeke, West Flanders. Delivery/pickup is by appointment only; I do not have a physical store or opening hours.
On average, we try to complete all repairs within 2 weeks, depending on how busy we are and whether or not parts are in stock. Some minor repairs are even carried out the same day or within a few days!
No, this is not necessary. If you are certain that the problem is not related to the speaker (quickly checked by playing it with another amplifier), it is sufficient to bring in only the amplifier.
In emergencies, we will always try (if possible) to find a solution to get you on your way quickly.
We are always transparent with the customer to estimate the repair costs as accurately as possible in advance. The 'bench fee' is €40 for starting the diagnosis, after which you can decide whether we proceed with the repair based on the estimate. For example, bulbs are never replaced 'just like that', but are always measured and assessed based on sound and microphony.
Feel free to contact me, I always have many tubes in stock.
Feel free to contact me regarding the possibilities. However, I always work with quality materials and do not use (cheap) kits whose prices are often misleading. In many cases, such kits will require modifications to ensure everything works correctly, meaning you ultimately end up in the price range of a 'professional' construction, under the motto of 'you get what you pay for'.
No, because amplifier tubes have become so expensive, I will always thoroughly evaluate the tubes and measure them if necessary before replacing them, to ensure that the costs do not escalate unnecessarily.
I have a large number of parts for the restoration of vintage Fender and Marshall amplifiers. I also have a good network for sourcing (rare) parts. However, this will only be applied in consultation and for amplifiers where it truly makes sense.
